you work hard. you earn money. you live your lifestyle

Martin Scorsese

I find it funny when Mr Scorsese won his first Oscar ever with the film The Departed. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad he won. He had been denied of his Oscar for years. If you ask me, I think he should have already won a few Oscars. Especially for Goodfellas and Gangs of New York.

But an Oscar for The Departed? It's not even an original piece. OK maybe he did an excellent job in directing the film. I loved the cinematography and the editing (I didn't know the editor was a woman until I watched the Oscars..not to mention an ehem old woman...heeeeeeee :D) I enjoyed the film. I was excited and thrilled throughout the whole film. The anticipation was not because of the film itself...I just couldn't wait for the ending. To see how would William Monahan cramp three excellent films into one.

Maybe I am biased because I watched and loved all three of Infernal Affairs. Owh well.

I'm glad he won. He's getting older and older. I hope the academy wouldn't wait for another 40 years to Oscarized Mr Martin Scorsese :D

p.s: Leonardo Dicaprio owes Scorsese big time. The man practically revived his acting career. Don't you think so?

I'm mad about 'em movies!
how on earth am i supposed to bring you back to malaysia? can't the academy just give me the small miniature or a replica of the oscar? (gosh! it rhymed!) har har har
